A simple way to make money online, one that many would have you believe can make you rich, is publishing Google Adsense ads on blogs you manage using the open source Wordpress blog manager. I love Wordpress, because a total neophyte to web design and blogging can be writing and publishing blog posts within minutes of installing Wordpress on their website.
There are many great plugin’s for Wordpress that make the process of adding Google Adsense ads to y our blog a simple and easy routine. One such plugin is called Adsense Manager, which supports a number of different affliate programs in addition to Adsense. For example it also supports Adbrite, AdGridWork, Adpinion, Adroll, Commission Junction, CrispAds, ShoppingAds, Yahoo!PN and WidgetBucks.
I write a number of different blogs and enjoy financial success on each of them. I’m not getting rich on the earnings because I don’t create enough content and its hard for me to keep focused on one subject every day. But if you’re the type of person that can find a niche you’re crazy about and can dedicate 2 or 3 hours a day to every day, I can see from my own success that one could easily make a few thousand dollars per month just off the clickthrough ads on one highly popular blog.
I often tell people that the more interesting your articles are, the lower the clickthrough rate. When I first started creating content sites on a mass scale my content was quite boring and my clickthrough rates ran in the high teens to lower 20%. People often don’t believe this, but there were many factors that contributed to this, including ad placement. However, with traditional blogs like Esalesman.com that focus on real quality content, clickthrough rates hover between 1.75% and 2.0% each month.
Do the math, with clickthrough rates running this low on quality content, one would need to write several articles a day of regular content to make several hundred to low 4-figure income monthly. But it takes patience because it takes a while to build up enough content to get the traffic you need to push your income level into this range. Nonetheless, which you compare blogging as a means of making money versus physical labor, its not a bad way to turn spare time into residual cash.
I have one blog that i only write 2 or 3 articles per month to that pays $24 to $30 per month in Adsense income along. I ask myself all the time why I simply don’t publish to this blog more often. The answer is simply a lack of time and lack of focus and dedication to one common subject and niche. But if you’re the type of person that can remain dedicated to one single cause year after year, you should have no problem turning your blog into clickthrough cash.
I don’t want to leave the impression that I lack focus on all blogs I manage. For, I do have blogs I write to weekly covering subjects I have more time to manage without having to spend much time on research. I know from the traffic I get from these blogs that each blog would translate to about $50 per month in Adsense income if I were to run Adsense ads on them and continue publishing about 2 articles per week to each of them.
I earn more using these blogs to attract leads to my network marketing business, thus it doesn’t make sense to make such a switch. But for the person that simply wants to earn Adsense income from blogging only, my recommendation is to pick a subject you can safely write 2 or more articles per day about, every day, and you should be able to turn your blog into a cash machine that brings in $5,000 to $25,000 per year.
Although this may sound simple, the truth is there are very few people in the world that can remain this dedicated to a given financial cause. If you can remain self-motivated, patient and persistent, it’s possible to turn your love writing into a six-figure income through blogging. But to achieve this you have to not only write for volume, but write about very popular subjects that have high ad revenue payouts.
There’s lots of competition in the more lucrative blogging markets, thus to rise above the competition you have to write more content, better content and have good ad placement. It takes a lot of trail and error to achieve the business savvy and writing acumen to achieve six-figure results, however.
